Membership 2009-2010
Welcome to the 2009-10 school year! This year’s PTSA theme, “Making a Difference – One Member at a Time!” reminds us that we can make a positive difference for our students and schools, in a variety of ways. PTSA membership is a great way to show your support, stay informed as to what is happening at CKHS and in Olympia, and to learn about opportunities for involvement.
CKHS PTSA activities and programs include:
- CK Cares - funds to assist CKHS students in need
- Testing Breakfast - free breakfast served every morning of State Testing
- Graduating Senior Scholarships - $1000 awarded annually
- Student Recognition- support for Distinguished Reader Program, Recognition Breakfast etc.
- Volunteer opportunities- summer mailing, Maze, Mock Crash, schedule distribution, graduation, etc.
- Staff Appreciation- breakfasts, treats, salad luncheon, wellness kits and more throughout the year
- Grad Nite - safe, alcohol-free all night celebration after graduation
- National PTA Reflections program - cultural arts contest - 2009-2010 Theme: Beauty is…
- Staff Grants - funds to enhance classrooms and curriculum
- Advocacy-WPTSA - largest youth advocacy organization in Washington.
