Parking at CKHS

When helping at CKHS please park in the visitor's parking in front of the building and the spaces along Anderson Hill Rd on the west side of the school (that wrap around the building from the visitor lot). There are five substitute teacher slots in the staff lot that are ok to park if they're available.

CKHS Graduation

The end of the school year is always a busy time and seems even more so for families with seniors. There are a lot of activities and many questions. To assist families, CKHS PTSA members have compiled a list of suggestions based on what they wish someone had told them, and questions that have been asked in the past, or have arisen at Commencement.

Graduation Volunteer Opportunities

There are several opportunities to support the year end activities, and volunteering at Commencement is a great way for parents to learn more about what to expect when their student graduates.

June 1 – decorating for Awards Night 11 a.m. in the gym (4)
June 1 – approx 9 pm gym clean up after Awards night (4)
June 9 – initial decorating for all graduations 3:00 – 5:00 pm Pavilion (3)
June 10 – Senior Breakfast Set 1:30 pm CKHS cafeteria up- may include some food prep (4)
June 11 – Senior Breakfast 6:15 a.m. CKHS cafeteria (breakfast starts at 6:45 but kitchen staff handles a lot of the breakfast) until about 8:30 a.m.
June 11 – First Rehearsal/Ticket distribution- 11 a.m. CKHS Gym (6)
June 12 – Second Rehearsal 9 a.m. at the Pavilion to set up the Hospitality room (2)
June 12 – Noon – 2 pm Pavilion to add the orange decorations
June 12 COMMENCEMENT – take tickets, manage balloon check, hand out programs etc. (10–12)
June 12 – Diploma Distribution – report approx. 7:30 to Presidents' Hall (10)

Safeway and Albertsons cards

Thank you to everyone who registered their Albertsons cards to support CKHS PTSA and/or CKHS PTSA Grad Night.

Albertsons has just announced that they are discontinuing their Community Partners program "in order to refocus" their "efforts on a few key areas to help tackle some of the biggest issues facing our communities". We will receive a percentage of sales through January 31, 2010.

If you have a Safeway card and haven’t registered it to support CKHS organizations, please consider doing so as soon as possible.
